Offshore is a Spanish film directed by Alejandro Amenábar 2004.
Plot
The film is based on the true story of Ramón Sampedro, sailor that after an accident in his youth is tetrapléjico and stays bedridden in bed for nearly 30 years and you want to die with dignity. His world is your room and she arrive Julia, his lawyer (who suffers from CADASIL), and Rosa, a neighbor who tries to convince him interesting life can be. Great personality Ramon changes completely the principles of the two.

Criticism
The very favourable, although there were also critical negative, as the of Antonio Gasset, responsible for the film days of TVE, which condemned "mediocre and cloying" programme critical opinion. Weren't the only ones; some people with quadriplegia, expressed their disagreement with the film and the vital attitude of Sampedro.

Amenábar along with being the director and co-writer was also the producer along with Fernando Bovaira.

The history of Ramón Sampedro had a significant impact in Spain, and renewed the controversial debate on assisted suicide. In Spain, assistance to suicide is criminalised. The trial for the legalization of euthanasia was held in 1993 and was of great media interest. Ramón committed suicide in 1998 with the help of his friend Ramona Maneiro

I dont like this film because I like films american and be action,romantics but non films sader....is my opinion
